Dear Mikey Weinstein and MRFF,

I’m writing with the dual purpose of thanking you and encouraging VA employees to reach out to you.

In my many years as a primary care provider at the VA I was privileged to care for many different kinds of people, from all religious and political persuasions, people of all different races, backgrounds, genders, ages, shapes, you name it. All have served our country in one way or another, and all were welcomed and treated equally. It was heartening to work in a health care environment where the only criteria for care were need and veteran status, and the team was devoted to veteran health and well-being.

Sadly, things are changing at the VA, reflecting the changing leadership at the national level. The white Christian nationalist agenda has infiltrated even the medical care system, creating an environment where many veterans no longer feel seen or safe, and staff fear for their jobs. Only one example is when we were told in 2025 to be on the lookout for “anti-Christian bias” in the workplace, and to report our colleagues up the chain. Sowing mistrust and fear among staff is bad enough, but worse is the way the shifting federal paradigm essentially erases or defames many veterans, making them feel invisible or worthless. This makes me angry and sad. All of our veterans have served, and all deserve to be protected and cared for.

Thankfully, MRFF is fighting hard for veterans, of course active-duty military, and also for VA staff. I am not a veteran myself, but I have been a client of MRFF four times. Several years ago, when my local facility put up a Christian display at Easter, I contacted Mikey who reached out to our leadership and the display was gone within 24 hours. Twice I called MRFF when I found Christian literature on VA property. MRFF also heard my complaint that our Patriot Store carries only Christian books. That is a tougher nut to crack, since it involves Patriot Stores in VA’s across the country, but MRFF has taken on that legal battle with characteristic vigor.

Mikey, you and your staff are 100% committed to the Constitution. You work with speed and skill to right the wrongs when the separation of church and state is threatened or violated. You are also fiercely protective of your clients’ privacy, which was vital to me as a government employee.

I want to thank you for all the crucial work that you are doing for our military, our veterans, and our government employees. And to you VA staff members out there – if you witness or experience a violation of freedom of religion or the separation of church and state, remember that is unconstitutional, and reach out to MRFF for help.

In gratitude,

Recently retired VA PCP

Everyone knows you don’t go to the VA for health care. You go there for orgies!

Mountain Home VA center in Tennessee where one official bragged about having sex with 32 employees, 12 person staff orgies on premises. You know, while drawing a government paycheck! I’m guessing these were lunch time cum to Jesus meetings.

Fuck me! What a job! No pun intended.

Many of those participants identified still on the payroll. But hey, it’s a MAGA payroll funded by the Epstein Admin. You know, these are good Christians and these were Christian orgies so, no problem, amirite? Where’s the Zieglers when they could have been coaching? Jerry Falwell Jr. approved? Super grifter Paula White?

Forget going to the VA for a sermon on the mount. You go to hear a sermon while mounted!

    Good Christian MAGA family values!

Fully Doug Collins approved? Must be. Command climate is set at the top.

Who knew being a veteran “came” with those kind of benefits!

Never mind STDs, you can get treated right there! Tax payer funded!

A few months ago while at the VA clinic in Wilmington, NC I saw stacks of fundamentalist Christian pamphlets in the veteran’s snack room off the entrance area. When I worked at the VA clinic in Greenville, SC in the 90s I would see this stuff and would grab it all and throw it in the dumpster. I thought those days were over but they are still trying. It must be hard to keep up with their propaganda mission. Keep up the good work.
