I meant to say this yesterday but life is life. I’m here now and what I need to say is just as important today as it was yesterday. Hopefully my words will be as powerful.
First and foremost I owe Mikey Weinstein an apology. As I stated in my comment on a previous post I considered this issue a moment not a movement and I was wrong. I, comfortable in my whyt privilege knew what the superior officer said was wrong but missed the context. I know better now so hopefully I will not repeat this mistake again. When you know better the plan is to do better. (check check).
Next – I’m glad you persevered. If the MRFF got the Army to reopen the case then there is much more to the incident than meets the public eye. I trust the MRFF to have the back of all of our service critters and all means all.
This post does bring to mind a story I read on IG this week where a young man was fleeing into a forested area (this was the south and no context was provided) on a four wheel off roader vehicle pursued by a cop. The cop exited the forest a couple of hours later to call for a tow truck to pull the off roader out of the woods but the young man was nowhere to be found.
Two weeks later the young mans body was found deep in the forest hanging from a tree. The “official” cause of death is suicide and the community has questions. Of course they do.
I find the Wyt Supremacists to be over the top and overbearing. Their smirks are enough for me to reconsider my vow of peaceful resistance. And I’m, as I’ve said, Whyt. I can’t imagine how horrible it’s been for BIPOC since the Trumps rolled into the White House again. Well, I can imagine but I’m sure my imagination falls short of reality.
Sometimes when things are falling apart they are in reality falling into place. America 2.0 has no place for the systemic racism of the America here/now. We need to do better. I need to do better. Consider this my pledge, my rededication to being exactly who I say I am.
Thank you MRFF and especially Mikey Weinstein for helping me to see where I am blind and allowing me the grace to become a better people.

LOL what am I saying? Of course they missed that point. They are so dim that they have to announce their arrival like a toddler who is proud they finally were able to potty by themselves.
Honey, toddlers shouldn’t be in adult spaces alone. Where is your guardian or baby sitter? Do they know you are out and about without supervision?
