A “Middle Finger” to the Constitution — MRFF’s Mikey Weinstein Reacts to Hegseth’s Slashing of 180 Faiths from Military’s Recognized Religions List

approved-religions
The military will no longer recognize Atheists, Deists, Druids, Heathens, Humanists, New Age churches, Pagans, Spiritualists, Unitarian Universalists, Wiccans, and scores of other minority belief systems by edict of Secretary of Holy War Hegseth.
“All it takes is the chaplain to say, ‘Well, I don’t see them on this list. I don’t know how I can help you. Maybe go off the installation and see if you can find anybody who can work with you. Goodbye.’ And that’s it. That’s not the American way.” — Military chaplain endorser and MRFF client, quoted by Military.com
“Reducing the number of religious faiths from hundreds down to 31 is another absolute, clear, filthy and disgusting, unconstitutional, immoral and unethical attempt to force only the approved solution, getting closer and closer to Christian nationalism.” — MRFF Founder and President Mikey Weinstein, quoted by Military.com

List of deists from U.S. history:
James Madison
Thomas Paine
James Monroe
Thomas Jefferson
Abraham Lincoln
Mark Twain
Thomas Edison
Neil Armstrong
Hegseth is shitting on plenty of U.S. prominence in rejecting deism.
These are famous Christians from History Rob Belgeri and if you notice my list is a LOT LONGER then yours. George Washington, Patrick Henry, John Adams, Nathan Hale, Betsy Ross, Samuel Adams, Florence Nightengale, Doctor Martin Luther King, Billy Graham, President Jimmy Carter, Johnny Cash, Fred Rogers, Ronald Reagan, Mark Wahlberg, John Jay, Samuel Adams, President Woodrow Wilson to name just a few. I would also like to leave you with a quote from Reagan. If we forget we are a nation UNDER GOD, we are a nation gone under.
My middle finger is to the MRFF. God bless America and our Soldiers
The old soldier who takes a crap on the Constitution on the regular (good fiber intake that one!) dares to name Fred Rogers as someone on “their” side?????
Fred Rogers, the man who included the first pool party with both a Black and White man!? In the same pool?
OK it was just their feet and it was a lesson of kindness but the network lawyers had enough kittens to keep the Cat Dispersal System supplied for decades. I’m saying people are still talking about that day.
I wouldn’t dare to speak for Mr. Rogers but I will say he knew to his core the Constitution and Bill of Rights. old soldier might want to take a note from him instead of including his name on a list of one upmanship which they seem to think is how life is lived. Exhausting way to live life but you do you boo.
Which means, and back to the point of the post, prominent Christians throughout our history understood the assignment, to wit: they are only free to worship as they see fit if their neighbor is free to do the same.
old soldier who yells at clouds represents everything we need to leave in the past – the bigotry, misandry, all the ism’s and descriptors humans created to shed light on a society which chooses to exclude anyone not a clone of those wielding the levers of power.
Yeah, I’m many things but no one has ever called me a clone. I’m OK with that as nature proves over and over Diversity Rules!!
Thank you MRFF and Mikey for your work on the front lines of this resistance to theocracy. May the deity or no deity of your choice be kind upon your day.
Because this topic keeps popping up I need to remind you that Christianity in and of itself is not some seamless monolith. The purity tests they place on each other can be brutal but don’t take my word for it. Here is the best illustration of how purity tests can go as told by Emo Phillips in the Greatest God Joke Ever!!

Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, “Don’t do it!” He said, “Nobody loves me.” I said, “God loves you. Do you believe in God?”
He said, “Yes.” I said, “Are you a Christian or a Jew?” He said, “A Christian.” I said, “Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?” He said, “Protestant.” I said, “Me, too!
What franchise?” He said, “Baptist.” I said, “Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?” He said, “Northern Baptist.” I said, “Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?”
He said, “Northern Conservative Baptist.” I said, “Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?” He said, “Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region.” I said, “Me, too!”
Northern Conservative†Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?” He said, “Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912.” I said, “Die, heretic!” And I pushed him over.

Thus endeth the lesson for today.
LOL
“an old soldier who doesn’t support the MRFF” is also an old soldier who hasn’t absorbed that throughout recorded history, there have been about 18,000 deities worshipped by humans. Hey, though, yours has to be the right one.
An argument to popularity, AKA the bandwagon fallacy is what Old Liar has. And going with a list can backfire.
Why the Christian triune G-d, rather than the one of Judaism and Islam?
These are also famous Christians from history – Adolf Hitler, Herman Goering (both quite insistent Nazism was a Christian movement), Karl Marx, Ed Gein, Richard Speck, Jeffrey Dahmer, Mussolini, Torquemada, John Walker and family, Benedict Arnold, Paul Shanley, David duke….
waaaaaaaahhhhjhhhh, cry me a river mrff losers
To: People affirming Hegseth’s action:
Enjoy your vision of Jesus while you can. Your religious tradition is next.

Old Soldier, the Oath of Enlistment I swore back in 1975 — only shortly after God created dirt! — read that I would, ” . . . bear true faith and allegiance to the [Constitution] . . . .” And guess what? The First Amendment to that Constitution tells us that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . .”
Now, I don’t know if you realize this, but the Secretary of Defense is in NO POSITION to decide what the Constitution says or what it means: SecDef is REQUIRED to obey and implement those laws Congress has passed for the maintenance of good order and discipline in the force. And here’s ANOTHER clue: what Secretary of Derp Pete Sneeze is doing by eliminating 180 codes from the DoD’s recognition list is HARMING unit cohesion and morale!
If you would kindly do so, please ‘splain how chaplains are supposed to help Marines, Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Guardians deal with the issues that combat often thrusts upon them if we refuse to acknowledge the diversity of those who serve? Would you choose to go to war if there were a reasonable expectation that our adversary would employ chemical weapons against us and you had to deploy with a “one size fits none” mask? Would you be OK going into a potentially chemically contaminated area without a protective suit because your commander — backed up by your chaplain — told you that God would protect you and that you didn’t need a properly fitted suit?
“Cuz I sure ain’t ’bout to! I’ve spent far too much of my life teaching folks how to survive chemical attacks to even think of that.
Hey JP if I want a sermon I’ll go to church. I don’t need you to give me a snotty lecture on the oath I took and what it means. I was a chaplains assistant in Desert Storm. For your information and I checked the facts anyone can still go see the chaplain no matter what “faith” they are. I am a Desert Storm veteran and don’t need you to tell me about going to war either and you ask dumb questions.
So Old Liar identifies with serial killers, cannibals, and pedophiles.
Keeps saying he went to Desert Storm – no evidence that is true.
Says he was a chaplain’s assistant. No evidence.
But palling around with traitors and pedos on the other hand.
Red leg is just mad that he can’t date AOC. And that he’s a bitch ass faggot
