Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called MRFF a “radical anti-Christian, pro-atheist group” and said, “We will never cave to them. The Air Force will confront this.” Weinstein rejected that characterization and said MRFF is prepared to pursue legal action, framing the dispute as a question of religious neutrality and constitutional protections in the military.

Anyone who believes the U.S. Military -(Or Government In General) – should use “Christian!Greetings”, or enforce any sort of conduct involving “Religious Rituals” of any sort, needs to REALLY Reflect on what that implies.. When I Think of a “Religious Government & Military”, the first thing I think of is Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan.. That’s what happens when you blend Religion and State. You get extremism at some point down the line, no matter how “Tolerant” the Religious Government is at first..
Amen to that, Thomas. You either believe in religious freedom or you don’t. And if you do, you know that you can’t have religious freedom when government is involved in promoting it.
People like Mr. Hegseth are living with the delusion that Christians will dominate in the US forever. They can’t imagine that the policies and laws they are enacting now will allow non-Christians to impose their beliefs on Christians as they are now imposing their beliefs on non-Christians. But that is exactly what will happen. And when it does, they will be suddenly advocating vigorously for the separation of religion and government. But they will only have themselves to blame.

I thought you were to identify followers of Jesus by the way they treated others not by who they villified, how they ran their mouth, and how they lived their lives. The comment section reflects the intelligence or claim to intelligence made by that commentator. The use of slurs intended to cause harm may be perceived as tough or dominant on other sites. As I’ve witnessed here the use of slurs reveals the presence of a lack luster mind and worse, a lack of curiosity.
Fortunately this site is rich with minds who each see the world in their own way but together we see the vision promised in our founding documents (which totally need an upgrade and make over but that’s a conversation for another post).
