Mikey,

You and I have communicated before. I am the former Air Force lieutenant who served as an (position withheld) in the sixties.

I just read your commentary about that flaming asshole Boykin and I applaud you vigorously. I especially appreciated your string of adjectives to describe this moron.

I wish I had some money to contribute to your cause, but my wife and I have fallen on hard times lately — like so many other decent Americans. That includes ill health, so we must squeeze every penny.

But I want you to know that your passion has not gone unnoticed in these parts. Thank you for your efforts.

I just became familiar with your group last fall when you decided that Air Force Cadets involved ,or cadets wanting to be involved, with a Christian group who were sending Christmas boxes to children of poverty with a prayer in the box . I was appalled and probably always will be,that it was against our Constitution to do so on a military base. How long you have been around?
Were you around when Nidal Hasan shot and killed 13 and tried and failed to kill many more of our military and family members at Ft Hood? All this in the name of his religion.
Just curious if you had any letters or you as a group made any statements re this act. Please know that I am aware that not all Muslims are like this .
I read the paper and newspapers ,magazines and books rather regularly and am aware there are some kooks in all religions. Is there a reason that you only earmark Christians?
Here is yet another attack on a Christian, LG Boykin, a man with an outstanding military record.
I have used the example previously that Christmas boxes with prayers are not the same as sending bombs in boxes. I guess I have to point out that Boykins religious fervor is also not anything like Hasan’s actions and the murder of innocent bystanders. Again I
know full well your argument re military bases and the Constitution.Just a little strange when you fight so much harder against everything Christian than you do a murderer ,a Muslim, who actually screams out at the time he is murdering innocents religious statements.
If you really are what you say you are ,not anti Christian, and you read the record of these occurances leading up to this killing spree, you might be showing some concern that officers involved in this case let a lot pass re Hasan’s extremism .Did they follow military regs, were they afraid of appearing not politically correct if they questioned his actions. Are you following up to be sure these conditions never happen again to innocent people serving their country because of the religious fervor you so highly criticize and fight?
Or do you just run around chasing Christians who pray and offer their Christian perspectives, actually meaning no harm, and choose to ignore some, of other faiths, who actually do harm in the military in the name of their religion?
In all honesty I would expect you take a close look at anything like this that happened in the military that was this extreme by any person ,of any religion, with the hope to study and avoid another occurance. The question being ,will you or have you done so?
