Dear MRFF,

I just heard about the women’s prayer group that was praying for the women in your organization to all get terminal breast cancer, and I wanted to let you know that I think that is horrible beyond belief, and to tell you that a great many people of many faiths support your cause. Please don’t let a group of nutty women let you get discouraged, or make your women feel attacked, or make you think that all Christians are so heartless and idiotic.

This is just another incident of people attacking people of other faiths in the name of Christ. Which is why the founding fathers of this country separated church and state from the beginning, to avoid the centuries of religious persecutions which went on in Europe. You would think we would have learned something by now.

Please continue to make the military safe for everyone of every faith and cultural background, so that they can focus on the real battles. Thank you for all your hard work to keep this country safe and tolerant, and for upholding the constitution as it is written.
Again, I am so sorry that you have had to experience these attacks from some conservative religious fanatics. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’m a Christian, but I must apologize for the inappropriate and bizarre behavior of the people who profess to share my faith, which originated from a peace-loving Jewish man.

Sincerely,

(name and location withheld)
