Dear Mikey… and all at MRFF,
I was terribly saddened to learn that Glen Doherty was one of the four killed in Libya in this atrocious attack.

His home town Winchester, MA, neighbors where I live. I learned that Glen was on the advisory board of the MRFF.

I did not know Glen, but I know that people like him who step up to oppose fundamentalism of all varieties (Christian, Muslim, political, religious) are sincere and courageous. The rigors of his Navy SEAL services make his loyalty unassailable. And thus his commitment to separation of church and state, to separation of patriotism from religion, is especially to be admired.

I did not know Glen personally, but I know that we have lost a good and decent man. His voice for sensibility and secular values will be much missed.

I share in mourning his loss to the MRFF community,
