Dear MRFF,

You show nothing but stupidity and contribute to the problem of a society that is Godless and believes they alone have the answers

Dear (name withheld),

I am a Christian (Episcopalian in fact) who fully supports Mikey’s and MRFF’s attempt to protect members of the U.S. Military from unconstitutional religious influence in relation to their training, assignment, advancement and retention.

Am I proud as a Christian that Judeo/Christian heritage and morality played a truly significant role in development of the U.S. Constitution & Bill of Rights? You better believe it. However, by adoption of the Constitution, we as a nation from that point forward agreed to be bound to each other under a democratic Man’s Law (as established by a representative democratic process) rather than a theocratic Divine Law (as mainly interpreted by unelected clerics and King’s possessing Divine Right).

James Madison’s (aka ‘The Father of the Constitution’) beliefs regarding religious entanglements with government are best expressed in his own words from his contribution to the Federalist Papers which were written for the specific purpose of supporting Constitutional ratification:
The Federalist No. 10
The Utility of the Union as a Safeguard Against Domestic Faction and Insurrection (continued)
Daily Advertiser
Thursday, November 22, 1787[James Madison] http://www.constitution.org/fed/federa10.htm
The latent causes of faction are thus sown in the nature of man; and we see them everywhere brought into different degrees of activity, according to the different circumstances of civil society. A zeal for different opinions concerning RELIGION [my emphasis], concerning government, and many other points, as well of speculation as of practice; an attachment to different leaders ambitiously contending for pre-eminence and power; or to persons of other descriptions whose fortunes have been interesting to the human passions, have, in turn, divided mankind into parties, inflamed them with mutual animosity, and rendered them much more disposed to vex and oppress each other than to co-operate for their common good. So strong is this propensity of mankind to fall into mutual animosities, that where no substantial occasion presents itself, the most frivolous and fanciful distinctions have been sufficient to kindle their unfriendly passions and excite their most violent conflicts.

The disdain towards the division and mutual animosity created by religion shown in this statement by Madison could not be any clearer. In light of this, the ‘stupidity’ of your statement regarding a “Godless Society” speaks for itself.

To sum up my perspective and why I fully support Mikey and MRFF, I defend both my Christian faith and my Constitution proudly and equally. I simply don’t feel compelled to defend one at the expense of the other. I invite you to join MRFF and stop contributing to the societal problems so clearly defined by Mr. Madison

Peace be with you,
Andy Kasehagen

Andy,

I absolutely have no intention of joining and supporting this organization, you are either for or against the Lord, and these steps do nothing to spread his word but ban it’s ability to maybe open someones eyes and shows a sign of this organization stance against him and that is not a wise position.

Dear (name withheld),

You have not only chosen to gutlessly abandon our Constitutional principles for your version of Faith (how very patriotic of you), you have unilaterally made a decision (“you are either for or against the Lord”) that can only be adjudicated by the Lord. How very pathetic and petulant…you must be so very proud of yourself. I doubt I will be taking advice on wisdom, religious or otherwise, from you.

Andy

I, for one, am very tired of having my Constitutional and God given rights trampled by the anti God crowd. We need to keep God in all of out institutions in the USA.
Please ensure that this happens and the Military stays strong in God’s eyes.
