Hi Ms. (name withheld),
I’m afraid you misunderstand. No one here is interested in depriving you, your loved ones or anyone you know of the solace, courage and hope you may
realize from carrying physical manifestations of your faith. You may certainly carry any such thing as long as it comports with the law and military regulations.
However, the dog-tags in question are manufactured and sold by a company that has violated the agreement it entered into with the branches of our
military. The official identification of the various branches of the military are allowed to be used to acknowledge agreement with the U.S. Government
only when the item bearing that ID is neither sold for profit making purposes nor can it carry a religious message.
You see, as a nation that believes everyone has the equal right to his or her religion or belief system, the U.S. Government does not officially endorse any one
particular faith or belief system over others. So the makers of the dog-tags violated their agreement and have been asked to stop making and selling them.
They can make anything the want and sell it, but they can’t attach a religious message to anything that bears an official government identification.
I hope that helps you better understand the situation.

Looks like this unconstitutional action won’t stand.
