Subject:Sarasota National Cemetery

Dear Mickey,Thank you for your work.I am a Jew living in Sarasota and the daughter of a World War 11 veteran buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
Wreaths Across America places wreaths on gravesites here. How can I build on what’s been done and fight to have this practice stopped unless people opt in? Needing to opt out is discriminatory and insulting.
Thank you for helping me find the best way to stop this practice.Sincerely, (name withheld)

Hi (name withheld), …
I’m Chris Rodda, MRFF’s research director.  Mikey asked me to respond to your email.
Hopefully, our all-out assault on the so-called non-profit Wreaths Across America this past December will make them not dare to place their wreaths on ANY Jewish or other non-Christian graves in the future, but we will of course be watching them closely next December to see what they do.
The only other action I can think of that can be done in the meantime is to write, and get others to write, to the National Cemetery Administration, expressing to them that you find the op-out policy to be discriminatory and insulting. The more they hear from people about this issue the better. Their contact information is:
U.S. Department of Veterans AffairsNational Cemetery Administration Attn: 44810 Vermont Avenue, NWWashington, DC 20420
202-632-8035
That’s all I can think of to do at the moment.
Chris
