“Most of us have been deployed into combat in the sandbox and have personally observed how any kind of religious supremacy can be so harmful.”
This is an important and under-recognized message. Those who have deployed (or even visited) theocracies like Afghanistan see the evils of a government controlled by a religion and don’t want it here even if it is their own religion.
