I wanted to take out of my day to let you know, in my educated opinion, you are scum.
Vile, hate filled scum…
Your God is your ego….

Prayers will not help you.
Your days will be judged and God will be sure to burn you.Literal scum… Oh I see you denied Christ before….
And you do it again…
Nothing New Under the Sun.
You disguise yourself but many see right through you.
So I wanted to call you out as the vile scum you truly are.

Enjoy your time here being vile scum…
Judgement awaits and God sees all.

I wanted to take out of my day to let you know, in my educated opinion, you are one great guy.
Strong, courageous guy…
Your belief is your strength….

Prayers I will always give you.
Your days will be judged and I believe God will see into your heart.
Swell guy… Oh I see you know Christ was Jewish….
And your family is too…
Nothing New Under the Sun.
You don’t disguise yourself as many do. You are straightforward and honest.
So I wanted to call you out as the patriotic American citizen you truly are.
Enjoy your time here doing what is truly right…
Judgement awaits and God sees all (including the idiots like this).

Peace my Brother

Dear (name withheld)

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) and its Founder & President Michael L. “Mikey” Weinstein have asked me to respond to your recent email.

I will give you credit for something: of the hundreds of emails sent to MRFF to which I have responded over the years, yours stands out for being among the most ignorant, egotistical, and poorly composed. Any layman would conclude that you are severely delusional, starting with your self-description as “educated.” Truly educated people compose sentences that actually make sense and are complete and do not string together sentence fragments like, “I wanted to take out of my day to let you know . . . .” This is not a complete thought, as any educated person would immediately realize. The fact that you wrote it and then added that you are educated proves that you are not, in fact, educated.

Second, your vocabulary is obviously quite limited, as you repeat the words “vile” and “scum” as if they are the only descriptors you can think of. Really, CTMan, if you are going to take the time to compose and send hate-filled emails to anyone, you should go back and read what you have written and try to do better. Unless, of course, you are incapable of doing so.

Third, it is clear that you are no theologian and that you have not researched the organization that you disparage. Your personal theology reeks of Elmer Gantry, and your understanding of the Constitution is non-existent. You do not understand MRFF and its work: it is a non-profit organization dedicated to upholding the Constitutional rights of those who serve in our military forces, specifically centering its efforts on protecting these men and women from religious fanaticism and religious proselytizing on the part of officials in the military and other parts of government. It is notably successful in doing so, having served over 82,000 clients, 95 percent of whom identify as Christian. It has been nominated many times for the Nobel Peace Prize. Your attack on MRFF for its efforts to enforce the First Amendment rights of those who serve in uniform is completely unjustified. Perhaps you should take the time to actually read some Constitutional law and become educated about what our country’s Founders intended in the First Amendment and other parts of the Constitution that address religion, rather than devoting your day to composing third-rate diatribes and revealing your own ignorance. That would be a much better use of your time.

Dear Sir,

Since you are too cowardly to identify yourself and use an untraceable email account to blast Mr. Weinstein with you’re over the top vile vulgarity that mocks God, I will be relatively brief, and in order not to offend others, restrained in my comments.

I am a retired senior Navy Chaplain and a Christian combat vet. Your email to Mr. Weinstein reflected the worst parts of Christian history. Since I am sure that you know that Mr. Weinstein is Jewish, I am positive that your email reflected that long standing Christian hatred of the Jews.

Likewise, your email is the kind of message that spurs people to violent acts, and such words of “the faithful” have resulted in Crusades, Inquisitions, Pograms, extermination campaigns, slavery, and Genocide, all in the name of God. They have resulted in the deaths of tens of millions, often in the name of Jesus. The great American philosopher Eric Hofer wrote: “The impression somehow prevails that the true believer, particularly the religious individual, is a humble person. The truth is the surrendering and humbling of the self breed pride and arrogance. The true believer is apt to see himself as one of the chosen, the salt of the earth, the light of the world, a prince disguised in meekness, who is destined to inherit the earth and the kingdom of heaven too. He who is not of his faith is evil; he who will not listen will perish.”

Christ warned his followers about making such loathsome and despicable condemnations of anyone. That was not his message, in case you missed it. The Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Corinth:

So if anyone is in Christ, there[d] is a new creation: everything old has passed away; look, new things have come into being![e18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself,[f] not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. 20 So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ: be reconciled to God. (2 Cor. 5:17-20)

Sadly, if you are indeed a Christian, you seem to have abandoned the greatest commandments, “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind and strength; and love your neighbor as yourself.” According to the Jewish and Christian tradition these were given to Moses at Sinai, and when asked, Jesus himself said that they were the most important commandments. Jesus, and the great prophets of the Old Testament always directed their harshest words to the most religious and prideful people of their times.

Your words remind me of the Nazi propagandist Julius Streicher, nicknamed the Venomous Vulgarian, by Justice Robert Jackson, the Chief American Prosecutor at Nuremberg. Such attacks on men like Mr. Weinstein, who is honorable and honest in all of his dealings is beneath a true Christian. Likewise, since Mr. Weinstein stands up for the religious rights of all Americans, and about 96% of his clients are Christians, you condemn them as well. Mr. Weinstein defends people’s Constitutional liberties, something that you seem to have little regard.

Though your words and actions are damnable, I wish nothing bad on you, but pray that you would cease such hateful behavior covered such a thin veneer of Christianity, if for nothing else, for your soul.

Sincerely,
Fr. Steve Dundas Commander, Chaplain Corps, US Navy (Retired)

My dear “(name withheld)” or Whatever You Call Yourself When You’re Not Hiding Behind Some Tree or Rock: OMG!!  If yours is an “educated” opinion, it is no wonder that American students are scoring so low in nearly all categories as compared to students from so many, many other countries!  Your operative word is “scum,” but if you’ll look at the hand with the finger pointed at the MRFF, you’ll find that the other four fingers point directly back at yourself. Scum, you say? And just what swamp did you rise up from yourself?  I can tell you.  It is from some hate-filled, epithet throwing pool of fetid waters.   We at the MRFF see myriad emails like yours on almost an hourly basis. They base themselves on some primitive understanding of an angry Christianity that is so far from Jesus’ message as to be laughable.  The only word we have for people like yourself is “pathetic.”  You call yourself educated?  What proof you bring is both sick and, indeed, pathetic. My best advice to you (and the ones like you who make up your gang-of-theological bullies) is to take a Biblical chill-pill and go camping somewhere far, far away where you can do your sickly rituals, recite your hate-filled verses and howl at the moon.

Name Withheld is obviously too stupid to understand his hypocrisy in calling Mikey and MRFF “vile, hate-filled scum” in the same message in which he promotes anti-Jewish bigotry and criticizes MRFF for defending freedom of religion for all. Even after his ignorance is explained to him and corrected in some detail, he doubles down on his childish insults with no substance. Some people are incapable of decency and immune to facts.

    “God sees all?”

We know! He particularly likes watching those little boys getting sodomized by the Christian clergy! ….. and doing nothing about it. Most mere mortals would stop it. Your God does nothing. But as you said, he sees it! And likes it?
