Not particularly nice to hear from you, but we read even the most ignorant of the messages we get, just in case there’s hope that someone has a brain and is capable of reason. In your case, there’s clearly little reason to expect serious thinking, but we can always hope that at some point in the future you’ll wake up and realize that the country you claim to have fought for deserves more than a potential Hitler. Hitler, and all the name implies, is not my nickname for your chosen leader. The characterization was laid on him by one U.S. Senator JD Vance, a name you may know, if you can read. Let me start by saying that if you actually are a Vietnam War veteran, MRFF commends and salutes your service. Maybe you have a hard time visualizing just how many people that is, so let me put it to you this way: it is more servicemembers than would fit into the average football stadium for an NFL game on a Sunday afternoon. More than ninety-five percent of those who asked MRFF for its assistance embrace the Christian faith, while a small percentage identify as Jews, Muslims, Hindus, other religions, and of no religious beliefs. That, Mr. (name withheld), is the beauty of the First Amendment to our US Constitution—a document and framework for government that you at one time vowed to “defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Maybe you don’t remember that oath, but if you actually were a servicemember at some point in your life, you raised your right hand and repeated these words.

As for the Democrats—I assume you meant Democrats and are just a really bad speller—losing the election in November, neither you nor I know how this election will turn out. As a veteran myself, I simply cannot imagine a genuine military veteran voting for a man like Donald Trump. Here’s what his Chief of Staff, retired Marine Corps General John F. Kelly, stated publicly about what Trump said about those who serve our country in uniform. According to General Kelly, Trump thinks those who serve their country in uniform, or are or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs—like the late Senator John McCain–are all “suckers” because “there is nothing in it for them.” Trump, stated General Kelly, did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because “it doesn’t look good for me.” How’s that for respecting veterans, Mr. (name withheld)?

If this is your candidate, Mr. (name withheld), then I am inclined to think that you are a phony and a pretender who never wore our country’s military uniform. If I am wrong, and you actually served, then I can only conclude that you are a pitiful example of someone whose clinically low self-esteem leads them to embrace those who disrespect them and make fun of them behind their back. In that case, Mr. (name withheld), then you are just a sad, sad specimen of low-grade humanity, nothing more, nothing less.
