What a pathetic victory this is. Weinstein didn’t even have the decency to mention this speakers name. He is Jordan Northrup a decorated Marine officer who served three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He conducted over two hundred combat missions and survived close calls with IEDs and he has dedicated his life to helping others who suffer with addiction. He is a real hero who REALLY fought for freedom and all the MRFF cares about is publicity and money.
Nothing in the previous comment is relevant to the fact that the base command staff was promoting and “suggesting attendance” to a specific religious activity, when only chaplains should be doing that. What part of “no establishment of religion” does Old Soldier refuse to understand?

Who’s freedom? Certainly wasn’t American freedom. The country that took down the World Trade Center was south of Iraq. You know, the country we staged in? 15 of the 19 hijackers were from where?

old soldier wants to make this incident all about the soldier who was giving testimony as to how he prevailed over an awful disease.
A closer look tells me this was never about the specific soldier, decorated as they may be, but instead about pushing a religious narrative.

By sharing his story of addiction recovery and faith Jordan Northrup has done more for our troops and veterans then the MRFF ever will.
There are none more blind old soldier than those who refuse to see. And the old soldier refuses to see the whole world. How sad to view one’s own little pixel and declare it to be the entirety of all existence.
If there is one lesson I’ve had repeatedly impressed upon me by the universe is the more I know the more there is to learn.
