Mickey,  thank you for standing up and speaking the truth with the recent events concerning Mr. Kirk becoming a part of the Air Force Academy honoree’s.  

My father was an Air Force pilot in WWII (Pacific) 

My husband who is a recent retired Attorney from Mississippi (3rd generation) his grandfather was a Brigadier General in the army and was over Western Selective Service stationed out of Denver then Retired after being over Mississippi Selective Service-  Both of these Men were patriots much like you and would have not stood for this type of behavior, what is going on with our Military!  

I grew up with my 6 brothers and 4 sisters in a most positive patriotic family.  We were taught to respect and to honor our military thru and thru! 

Please know that what you do and future efforts is the most important mission you will ever accomplish.  Standing true for America and its citizens.  I cannot thank you enough for what you have done.  

I never heard of Charlie Kirk before his death, I left the Republic Party when Trump came into politics.  I enjoyed the show “The Apprentice” and even commented, he would make a good president”!  I ate those words soon after he came down the GOLD escalator!  I never voted for him and I do believe he is a front man for a huge group of people who want to ruin this democracy.  It is clear because they are attacking every aspect, every level of democracy from the local, State and National levels.  I was raised in Mississippi from birth to 66 yrs.  My husband and I decided to leave our State because of the HATE.  I was privy to years of Hate Speech and had enough.  This movement has been hatched and has been nurtured for generations.  

We as a country are not in a good place.

I have never condoned any killing of another human being and I pray Mr. Kirk is in a better place of peace and everlasting love.

PS – we live across the way from the Academy and witness the pilots daily flying over our home.

Our hearts have been heavy recently learning that the Academy were going to do this.  

My niece lives around the corner and is married to an Academy graduate he is Retired Colonel (name withheld)
