Subject: Military Supervisor’s Question Regarding “Being Saved”

To: Military Religious Freedom Foundation

Date: 23 January 2026

On behalf of several fellow military members I wanted to express thanks to our MRFF representative (name and rank withheld) and to Mr. Weinstein for helping us deal with the incident that happened right after the start of the new year.

Sorry to be late sending this in.

Our military unit supervisor here at (installation name withheld) started off the first mission briefing of the new year by asking for a show of hands as to which attending military members have been “saved through the grace and blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” We all thought YGBSM?

(MRFF representative’s name and rank withheld) connected us with Mr. Weinstein almost immediately after this happened. I won’t go into all of the specifics here as to how Mr. Weinstein contacted our chain of command to fix this. But two days later our commander addressed the matter at another (military unit nomenclature withheld) meeting and apologized for what our military unit supervisor had said about asking who had been “saved.”

Most of us are junior enlisted and Christian like me. But we knew that this was way over the line. All of this has happened so quickly. So we don’t know how our military unit supervisor will treat us after he has now been called out by our commander for this stupidity? No one has seen him and we were told that he is TDY somewhere.

If he ever shows up again looking for payback we will contact the MRFF right away.

Thank you all at the MRFF for taking up the situation so quickly and getting it corrected as well.

v/r

I am grateful that the military personnel in the letter were able to get the assistance they needed.

I know a thing or two about Nat-C’s. They are vindictive and I’m certain that this story does not end here, not with the leadership we currently have at this time.

This is the exact reason religion is supposed to held in your heart, not worn on your sleave, especially with the diversity that historically peopled our military. I know there are those (cough old fart cough) who believe everyone must bow down to their concept of religion.

Yeah, no. If WeThePeople were supposed to have one religion the Constitution and Bill of Rights would have been written differently. But I’m preaching to mostly the choir here so I’ll stop.
