Good morning (name withheld),
I’m just going to leave a few things here for you to consider:
Colossians 3:8 ESV / 38 helpful votes
But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.
Ephesians 4:31 ESV / 34 helpful votes
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
James 1:26 ESV / 33 helpful votes
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.
You really must hate your god to disobey him so vehemently. But hey, if you want to re-invent Christianity and re-cast your precious Jesus as a hate-filled monstrosity by all means, carry on. Ignorance like that will do nothing but marginalize your religion to a point of irrelevance in short order. Or instigate another futile holy war like the ones you surely envy in the middle east and elsewhere.
Just a thought.

Dear ‘Boise Beauty (name withheld)’ (if that is your real name ).
So often, in response to e-mails like yours I am so tempted to reply that (to paraphrase the Islamophobes’ mischaracterization of Islam) “Everything I ever needed to know about Christianity I learned on April 19, 1995” [look it up if it’s not immediately familiar] and your hate-filled screed is merely another brick in the edifice of Christianist hate and exceptionalism that makes Mikey’s work so important to prevent Christian fascist idiots like you from assuming positions of influence (as they have in Kiev, for example). So, the depth of your rage serves as testimony to the importance, and equally as important, the effectiveness of Mikey’s work (were his work of no consequence, you’d not pay it any attention… yeah?); of which I am a proud supporter.
And, by the way, my life experience has been that so-called “Christians” like you are so much the exception to the rule that I do not equate Christians to April 19, 1995 any more than I equate Muslims with September 11, 2001.
If you were an observing Christian you’d pay more attention to Ephesians v 29-32 (another reference I suspect you’re unfamiliar with).
Hoping your wishes for Mikey aren’t turned on you or your children (as evidently happened to Joan Rivers & her wishes for Palestinians),
Marshalldoc.
Rabid AF wife/mother,
I have been asked to respond to your email, because Mikey’s busy, protecting our airmen and airwomen and the rest of our service personnel from those who would force any particular religion unConstitutionally down their throats.
So, first, I ask you to re-read your own email, this time as though Jesus, himself, had written it, word for word. Can’t? Of course, not. Jesus would never have spoken so vilely. You should be ashamed of yourself, speaking for Jesus in ways he would never have spoken.
Second, I ask you to imagine you and your family serving under a base commander who’s particular version of Christianity conflicts with your own. There are so many to choose from, with such wide differences, from Lutheran to Mormon to Catholic to Southern Baptist to Episcopal to … Well, let’s say he’s a snake-handler, and he insists, as is his religious right (in your misguided opinion, based on your email), that you prove your obeisance and faith in Jesus Christ by handling a rattler.
Are you going to do that?
Would you rather take Catholic communion because your base commander is that sort of Christian?
How about any of the other Christian traditions which aren’t yours, would you and your family take them on, just to get on your base commander’s good side? Would you do it, knowing that otherwise your husband’s career is over and done for? What if it meant protecting your husband from repeatedly having the worst and most dangerous duties dumped on him, while those who succumbed to the commander’s version of Christianity were protected from such duties?
This is what MRFF is all about.
Signed,
A former AF officer who learned the hard way, and is working to protect even you and your husband and kids, so you don’t have to suffer through what I did
Dear Lifer,
I’m really having a hard time believing this one. For this filth to come from the mind of a woman is inconceivable.
So, stop hiding behind your wife and just own up to it. Be a man. Use your brain. Start thinking for yourself.
And tell me – you never laughed at (with) Joan Rivers and Robin Williams? Did you stop laughing when you found out Joan Rivers was Jewish? And Robin Williams – he was Episcopalian!
Give my regards to your wife and children. I hope they’re inoculated against your disease.
Signed, An Air Force lifer and atheist.
Hi (name withheld),
I’m not sure you fully understand that MRFF not letting religion and those who practice it in the extreme use their rank and position to coercively proselytize to our young men and women in their command really supports the US Constitution.
It is not our desire to take “So help me God” out of any military oath but rather to make it purely voluntary and used in the correct context.
Also, it is plain to see, based on your letter, that religion doesn’t seem to breed fair and unbiased followers but rather some bigoted and violent henchmen.
For example, not knowing Mr. Weinstein, his wife and children, how can you make such crude remarks about them?
It seems to me that you are the crude one here and that if you are an example of what religion is, I can fully understand why many find it unconstitutional in the military and fear those who flaunt it.

Dear (name withheld),
I read your recent email to Mikey Weinstein and was amazed at the unchristian attitude and profound ignorance you revealed in your hate filled correspondence. Your reasoning is flawed, your spelling is atrocious, and your facts are wrong! God gave us the right to choose and hate mongers like yourself can never take that away.
Learn to LOVE,
Monty Montgomery
ps. Robin Williams was not Jewish.
