I would love to see a response along the following lines (it would work particularly well as a billboard in AFA’s backyard, I think):
Who is AFA trying to kid mislead with this nonsense about the Constitution being “based on” the bible?
Does that include the First Amendment, which guarantees the right to blaspheme?
Does that include the idea of “no religious test for office”?
Does that include the notion of democracy, rather than God appointing rulers?
Does that include stoning adulterers?
Does that include forgiving those who have committed crimes, rather than imprisoning them?
Does that include…….
On the other hand, there are certain parts of the Constitution that are based on the bible: for example, slavery, the prohibiton on women voting.
[etc] Anyone who has even a passing familiarity with the bible, and who is being honest, knows that these statements are true.Don’t believe us? Check them out for yourself.
===============
Keep up the great work, Mikey. You’ll never shut them up (nor should you), but you can at least put a floodlight on their lies.
