I would like to take you down in a court of law, because you are violating our Constitution. I will be praying for you and hoping that you see the Light.
By the way, your “military religious freedom org” is a misnomer.
Hi (name withheld),
I get that you are disgusted, though I don’t quite know why. But I’m more interested in knowing when you last talked to God? Whenever that was, did God tell you she or he was offended? If so, by what? I’d be interested in knowing, as it has always seemed to me that God would appreciate an organization dedicated to protecting people’s right to believe as they choose.
Per your wish, you’re welcome to challenge us in court for violating the Constitution. Since the Constitution is the very thing we are protecting, it would be amusing to see you laughed out of the courtroom.

Dear Mikey,
I sincerely did pray for you last evening and again this morning before church. Why are you persecuting Jesus Christ and Christians? Christ loves you with a never-ending love, and he suffered and died on the cross for you and for me.
I am no longer angry at you at all as I was yesterday, because God has revealed to me how much he loves you and wants you in his kingdom. Just as he sought out Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus, Christ is reaching out to you, Mikey. I do not want you to miss out on heaven by 18 inches.
I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (And I did not write this last prayer, but rather a very famous attorney named Paul wrote it 2000 years ago. Ephesians 1:17-19.)
May God richly bless you and guide you, my friend.
Blessings in Christ,
(name withheld)
P.S. I am a Federalist, so I am quite familiar with the Constitution. We can argue that another day.
Response from MRFF Advisory Board Member Mike Farrell
Dear (name withheld),
It’s good that you have put aside your anger. And it’s interesting to note that there is a process by which God reveals things to you.
While the sincerity of your intentions is clear in the words you’ve chosen, one can only hope that you one day come to realize there are many ways to achieve enlightenment, just as there are many ways to define it.
Our role is to protect the right of the women and men in the military to define it as they choose, not as you apparently would choose for them, and to select the route toward it that they find most fitting and most fulfilling.
