Mike Weinstein – Rescinding Award

To the Pacific Palisades Democratic Club
You should be truly ashamed of your action of rescinding the award to Mikey Weinstein. There are fewer threats greater to our nation than the close ties of the religious right and government; there are few people who have worked as tirelessly to fight this evil within the military than Mikey Weinstein. This is the true meaning of political courage; Joe Wilson is correct when he states that you make a mockery of the word courage. I wonder if you have equally ridiculous views on retiring Justice Stevens who, after all, was also appointed by a Republican.
Your actions bring shame to progressive Democratic clubs. Your statement of commitment to “advancing a progressive agenda” is meaningless in light of your recent actions.
