Religious sign on Marine Corps Base Hawaii draws fire

Friday, September 25, 2015

A religiously themed sign on Marine Corps Base Hawaii has come under fire from the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and its founder and president, Mikey Weinstein.

The sign, which according to base officials was erected after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001, says, "God bless the military, their families and the civilians who work with them." MRFF seeks to have the sign, which is near the base marina, taken down and moved to the grounds of the base chapel. [read more]

'God bless the military' sign on Hawaii base is questioned

Thursday, September 24, 2015

A mainland watchdog group is crying foul over a “God bless the military” sign on the Marine base in Kaneohe, claiming the display violates the U.S. Constitution.

Military Religious Freedom Foundation sent an email Thursday to Col. Sean Killeen, commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, asking that the sign be moved to the chapel grounds or removed.

The advocacy group alleges the sign is a “brazen violation” of the Establishment Clause of the Constitution, which forbids the government from promoting one religion over another.  [read more]

MCB Hawaii Marine: “We Stand With the MRF Foundation”

From: U.S. Marine’s E-Mail Address Withheld
Subject: We Stand With the MRF Foundation
Date: September 24, 2015 at 3:03:46 PM MDT
To: Mikey Weinstein

Mr. Weinstein and the MRF Foundation,

On behalf of so many Marines here at MCB Hawaii I would like to thank you all for standing up for our Constitutional rights in demanding that our Commander move the unconstitutional religious sign on display here to the installation chapel grounds or take it down completely.

Marines do not have an “official religion” and this sign shows the exact opposite.

We are so grateful to the MRF Foundation for making our feelings known to our Commander. Were we to do it there would be severe consequences to us and our families.

For the record I am  a Christian as are so many others who have sought your help here.

V/R

Leave it to a jew lawyer

First you jews crucify our Savior and now you try to crusify the US Marines Corps?

Is there ever enough blood on your jew hands to make you jewish happy?

Hey Mickey we pray to the Lord for a brain aneurysm visits you soon.

Best in your sleep for your jew wife to find in morning.

Soaked sheets of your jew blood to pay for your sins against the Marines and Jesus
