There must be no place for bigotry in our nation, especially our military.
Your organization doesn’t speak for me. Religous services and observances at military installations are voluntary and are not a government endorsement of religion. If you don’t agree, don’t attend. Otherwise, STFU and let others practice their faith.
Rev. Graham is a loving and compassionate man who is responsible for a variety of ministries in the very countries where Islam is prevalent. He cares about the people while not agreeing with the religious teachings. That is not spreading hatred. Please recognize the difference. Besides, whatever speakers you have, will have beliefs that are different than those attending. Will you ask for an Islamic minister’s invitation to be rescinded if his belief’s are offensive to the audience? Or is this just another gesture of intolerance towards Christians that is becoming so prevalent in our government today?
You claim to support religious freedom but what about my freedom to hear an individual whom I respect and support to come and speak to Soldiers. This is another ploy to silence Christians. Will the government rescind an invitation of an Islamic minister who offends Christians? What about the Soldiers who wanted to hear Franklin Graham speak? Again, you claim military religious freedom but I believe you have chosen which religion to endorse.
How sir can you say that the descion to ban franklin graham from this event upholds the constituion when in fact it goes against it. In this country we have aright to speak against a religion without being penalized for it. However those who dare speak the truth have always been penalized.
“When one proudly dons a U.S. military uniform, there is only one religious symbol: the American flag. There is only one religious scripture: the American Constitution. Finally, there is only one religious faith: American patriotism.” -Mikey Weinstein
As a Christian, supporter of religious freedom and citizen of this great nation of America, I find Mr. Weinstein’s quote extremely troubling and intellectually bankrupt. It reflects little understanding and appreciation for or of religion or patriotism. It is an insult to all religions; a U.S. military uniform; the American flag; the U.S. Constitution; and patriotism. Mr. Weinstein did not serve his country or his deity well in this recent endeavor.
Once again we bow at the altar of political correctness. Well, I’ve had it with the PC police. We ARE a Christian nation, and I am so proud to be a Christian. The decision to rescind the invitation to Rev. Franklin Graham to speak at the Pentagon is an outrage. It seems to be ok to criticize Christians and Jews, but not so with the Muslim and other religions. We have no reason to expect God to keep his hand of protection over our nation any longer.
MRFF is for religious freedom!….oh…only freedom for certain religions…ohhh I see, we should BAN religions we don’t like, not let the preacher even say a prayer..yes..thats religious freedom alright. Hmmm..a conservative Jewish Rabbi who thinks ill of Islam..banned or not…how about an Immam who dislikes Jews and Christians..oh I’m sure he’d be welcome in the name of diversity of course.
Hey Mikey..here’s a suggestion..sic MRFF of the Sikhs in the Army..they’re allowed to wear their religious headgear..OH THE HORROR!!!!…oh wait..you only pursue Christians
MRFF you shame the very freedom our nation is built upon. Our freedom of speech is the envy of all the nations and you with your denial due to your own frailties has cast a shadow on this freedom. Don’t act like you represent freedom you have clearly shown that you do not. I am apalled at your audacity. Franklin Graham cannot change the way the Islam men treat the weaker sex but he doesn’t have to agree to it either and your actions support such disgusting behavior.
You would have some credibility with me if you had done a speck’s worth of the good that Franklin Graham’s organization has done around the world! As it is, all you have done is set yourself up as a determiner of what or who should be allowed to speak at these affairs. I didn’t ask you to do that. Who did? I wish you would just crawl back in your hole and shut up.
Wake up folks!..Here’s a letter written by a Board Director for this organization where you can see how they REALLY feel about Christains and can see their anti Christian agenda clearly
Good People,
What this unfortunate sycophant has neglected to realize that America is already a secular nation, and has been so since the Declaration of Independence and the adoption of the US Constitution. A nation in which all religions may flourish but none dominate.
Here is a person, like many other Americans, immersed, inundated, buried, overwhelmed, smothered, enchanted, pinned down, enthralled, enslaved and otherwise enraptured by a brand of Christianity that has not been witnessed since the Inquisition.
With little else in their lives and without direction, ambition, goals, and the benefit of true education, America’s legion of obedient Dominion Christian lemmings eschew all of the gifts humanity has to offer and squander there lives in abject servitude to a God of choice which demands much and gives little.
This poor human being does not realize that it is HE who is God’s enemy. Perhaps not the enemy of the God fashioned by Dominionists who greatly resembles the God of the Old testament, but rather an enemy of the God who calls for fellowship, moderation, love of enemy, peace, brotherhood and tolerance who ostensibly gave his life in sacrifice to all humans.
This stumbling idiot’s words are the words of the extremist, the, supremacist and the bigot which obviate all other views, beliefs and doctrines, the ignorant words of a Neo-Pharisee.
Much as the Nazis, Fascists and Communists needed total control so do the Dominionist Christians to achieve their now exposed march to world conquest.
Rejoice in the The California Council of Churches endorsement of the important work of the MRFF and think of it as an endorsement of thinking men and women who would sooner thwart the twisted liturgy of Dominion Christianity than suffer even one young soldier a heart wrenching personal betrayal by his or her senior NCO’s and officers to whom God has become a political tool.
Reject Dominionism as you would reject any philosophy that has been put forward and defeated because of it’s vile and inhumane nature.

We’re called “vile and inhimane”..compared to Nazis (of course, like they always do) and basically insulted and maligned….yet it’s Rev Graham they seek to ban because he said anti Islamic things…What a frikkin bunch of hypocrites!!!!
Our freedoms in America extend to even allowing your group to denigrate, misrepresent, and vilify fine Christian men like Franklin Graham, as well as the high ideals and truths of God. This “Military Religious Freedom Foundation” certainly saddens me. Can you not find a meaningful pursuit in life?
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your relentless efforts and hard work to remove bigot and racist evangelist Franklin Graham from speaking at the Pentagon. I am a proud Muslim and a proud American and a proud Soldier. Anyone who calls my religion evil shall not be given any recognition or platform in our nation’s Military headquarters.
Mikey Weinstein, you are my hero. (it takes courage to do what you are doing, I salute you)
Sincerely,
CPT, US Army
