Relligious Freedom

If you need help accessing this content, please reach out via email.“It is a chaplain’s job to speak to the troops about God, Jesus Christ and their relationship with them.ONLY Christianity, the Bible and salvation will help our military when they are contemplating suicide or suffering from depression from being in combat.
I am a military veteran.
I served my country to defend and protect our freedoms as are all of those in the military services today.
One of the most precious freedoms is that of relligion.
The first amendment reads, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. You will notice that this amendment does NOT MENTION “Separation of Church and State.” It SPECIFICALLY guarantees the rightof the citizens of the USA free exercise of their religion. Our nation was built SPECIFICALLY upon the Judeo-Christian ethics and the Bible, (Word of God.) If a chaplain if forbidden to mention God or Jesus Christ, his first amendment right is being viiolated.
If a active duty military member is not allowed to have his Bible with hiim, on his desk, etc. his first amendment right is being violated.
You need to get this right, OR we will have another Revolution!
This first one was fought for this reason.
Our freedoms as outlined in the Bill of Rights.
Read it sometime.”

Dear (name withheld),You, sir, are both a bigot and an idiot.I am a veteran who served honorably and I can tell you with perfect certainty that, as an Orthodox Jew, Jesus has nothing to do with my life, faith, physical well being or mental health. The only thing that name means to me is the sick excuse by those, like you, who erroneously claim to follow his example by seeking to inflict their cult of bigotry and hatred on everyone else.Kindly take your American Fundamentalist Christian Taliban and shove it up your ass, or at the very least keep it as far away as possible from all the rest of us. I took my oath to defend the U.S. Constitution seriously; take your treasonous campaign of spiritual rape and crawl back under the rock from which you came.Sincerely,

Dear Misguided Fool,
The chaplain corps exists for many reasons. Their mission statement (according to their own website and publications anyways) is as follows: ” The U.S. Army Chaplain Corps provides religious support to America’s Army while assisting commanders in ensuring the right of free exercise of religion for all Soldiers. In short, we nurture the living, care for the wounded, and honor the fallen.”
Where in there is Jesus mentioned? Nowhere. Because our chaplain corps doesn’t exist to pander to one religion above all others.
Your next little tirade about Jesus being the only solution for service members in need of spiritual help is one of the most condescending and dangerous sentiments I see come from your crowd nowadays. I can personally attest to how repugnant your proposed solution to every mental health crisis is as a veteran who has had senior ranking officers capitalize on such tragedies in my life and attempt to convert me to their faith when I needed real support. Jesus isn’t a one size fits all solution. I’d love to watch you try to crash a Hindi soldier’s funeral and tell every attendant that their loved one is in hell and without Jesus they’ll never heal emotionally. Picture that and maybe your imagination gives you something of a chuckle. Now picture one of their adherents as a chaplain presiding over the funeral of a Christian soldier and telling everyone that Jesus is a lie and without following the tenets of Hinduism their souls are lost? Not so funny anymore, eh? The chaplain corps isn’t owned by any one religion. If it were, nobody would have religious freedom, not even you.
I’m going to go ahead and gloss over your screed about the literal absence of the specific words “separation of church and state” in the constitution. If you can’t handle the simple mental processes necessary to recognize that one idea can be expressed with multiple combinations of words in our language you’re a lost cause there.
And lastly, I’ve got a question for you if you can handle it: In what legal document, approved by an official legal action of the US government, remaining in effect today do you find our country was “SPECIFICALLY” founded on your bible?
Looking forward to your answer little fella,

Dear (name withheld),
A military Chaplain of any faith is allowed to discuss religion with members of the Armed Forces only when asked by the individual for such a discussion or when individuals are voluntarily attending scheduled religious services. Under law, Chaplains may not proselytize their faith to members of the Armed Forces whether at military formations or individually. The Military Religious Freedom Foundation was established specifically to safeguard these tenets
As for America being built specifically on Judeo-Christian Ethics, no such mention of Christian or other religious ethics appears anywhere in the United States Constitution. Nor are any external religious materials claimed or supported in the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice.)
Attempts by political groups and individual elected officials to introduce religious activity as part of the military norm is a violation of the US Constitution. The only such occurrence was when the term “Under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance by an act of Congress. Legislators and Congress persons felt the term was innocuous and general enough to allow in the pledge. To commingle religion and government is unconstitutional and illegal.Rick Baker

I suggest you watch this short video. If you read the first amendment, it says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances” That MEANS, “NO state church.” However, it FORBIDS the government making ANY laws prohibiting someone from practicing their religion, INCLUDING, military personnel and chaplains.Maybe you should read the history of the US, that is not scrubbed or rewritten by liberal ideologies.(name withheld)

Dear Akiva,
I am sorry if you have been offended by some Christians who are less than Christ-like, but I do want to clarify one thing that you said, you said that Jesus has nothing to with your life, faith, etc. Jesus / Yeshua has everything to do with you as an orthodox Jew, for He himself was also a Torah practicing Jew, the only difference is that He is the Jewish Messiah and fulfilled all the messianic prophecies in the Old Testament. Jesus / Yeshua himself said that “I am the Son of God”, John the Immerser said about Jesus “behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Scripture also calls Jesus the Lion of Judah. Jesus said that “before Abraham was I am”. He has been called the Great Physician, He raised at least two people from the dead as recorded in the scriptures. He is the Alpha and Omega, the eternal one! I encourage you to read the book “The Real Kosher Jesus” by Dr. Michael L Brown or “A Jew Will Rule the World” by Joel Richardson. Shalom!
I would like to point out that if you lump genuine Christians with the likes of Westboro Baptist church, the KKK or whomever then that shows a complete ignorance of real Christianity.
I would also like to point out that freedom of speech in the U.s or wherever (I am not a US citizen) means that everyone, CHRISTIANS too, have the right to openly express their faith whether anyone else likes it OR NOT. It doesn’t mean Freedom of speech as long as you agree with the party line.
True Christians also do not force their beliefs on people but speak to only those who are willing to listen. It would after all defeat the purpose of Christ if no one was willing to hear.
True Christians love the sinner hate the sin. We don’t hate people who disagree with us but continue to love them and pray for them.
What does that say of you, Mikey….who seems to know nothing but hate.
Who is the real human monster, we who hate sin and try to live moral lives but love our neighbors anyway or people who know nothing but hate……I don’t hate you so why do you hate me
Jesus Himself is the one who said I am the way, the truth and the life. NO ONE cometh unto the Father BUT BY ME
In the end, truly it is Christ Jesus whom you are calling a human monster. And it is to Him whom you will have to give a recounting of your life.
