To paraphrase George Bush, Jr., they hate our freedom of separation of church and state, our freedom to drop out of a religion denomination, our freedom to join a new religion denomination, our freedom to question religious authority and the Bible, and our freedom to believe or not to believe in God(s),

G – were you able to read the article? I tried a couple of times but it appears to be behind a paywall. Shoot, usually a person can read one article but not at the Tribune. Good to know….

MRFF – why do you post links to articles no one can access? Just a question. Any way to address the issue?

Hi Connie, thank you for bringing this oversight to our attention. We hadn’t realized that the Chicago Tribune site required registration or subscription once the free trial offer expired. However, we have attached an alternative link for the article which you can access above. Thank you!

Thank you MRFF Admin – the new link works. :)

The editorial is correct, I’m glad you posted it. It appears that the public, at least some of them, understand the concept of separation of church and state. This gives me hope for the new year.

    Dear Connie:

I did tried the Chicago Tribune website and I got a paper wall or even if I got on, it did not take me directly to the story.

    Hi G

The second link worked for me. It’s worth a read. I confess to feeling less than optimistic about the new year. However reading the fair and open minded opinion of others lets me know my mindset is not a light in the dark, but one light among many.

    Dear Connie:

I did the second link as well, and it did work. Thanks to social media, people like you and me know that there are other people out there that share our mindset, that shows we are not alone in this world, and there are the links out in the social media to contact these people for support and encouragement.
