I am an active duty staff sergeant in the Army stationed at (military installation withheld) and wanted to thank you Mr. Weinstein and your organization MRFF for showing light about the DOD no longer recognizing a majority of the religions they once did. I am a secular-humanist and now am scared about what might happen to me and others like me due to the rise in christian nationalists and a regression to a time with even less equality. I am already an “other” in the military by having progressive ideals and not believing in any deities. I fear that I will no longer be protected under the Military Equal Opportunity Program and no longer be able to say what I believe to others without reprisal. Thank you, Mr. Weinstein, and the MRFF for fighting for our constitutional rights in the U.S. military.
