Don’t you have anything better to do than protest a day of prayer? Christians, even Christian Soldiers, have a right to have a day of prayer and to use a preacher who is a Christian to host it. If Muslims are offended by the remarks by Mr. Graham then maybe the ones who are offended should do more to clean up their religion, which does commit atrocities both against other religions and their own women. If they spent their energy fixing their problems instead of killing people who let their behavior be known then maybe that would change our perception of the religion. Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but the vast majority of terrorist are Muslim. Maybe there is something to Mr. Graham’s criticism.

To not understand the threat from Islam tell us all in plain language that your moral compass is broken if indeed it ever existed at all.
When you see Muslims become parasites on the welfare and aid infrastructure of Western Countries, contributing NOTHING and then having the nerve to demand that Western societies adopt their Islamic cult perversions, it should become clear to you that the “religion of peace, is nothing more than a murderous cult dedicated to destroying civilization.
This can be plainly seen when Muslims crapped in their pants and protested worldwide but were totally silent to the Muslim horrors inflicted 9/11, Mumbai, London, Spain, Bali and the daily wanton destruction in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Your moral compass i broken and right, standing or moral authority to demand cancellation of the religious event at the Pentagon.
If Muslims are insulted they need to realize that the way the world sees them is exactly what they have crafted and it is hung around their necks like a “Columbian Necktie” dragging them back into the pit from whence they came.
I have a suggestion for Mr. Weinstein and his group- GET OVER IT. The political correctness garbage has gotten way out of hand in this country. “Man-made disaster” and “overseas contingency” are P.C. terms that have replaced “act of terrorism” and “war on terror” on the national level, just as “Islamic jihadist/ism” has been placed out of bounds for acceptable terms used by the Executive Branch.
What about the Muslim Army officer, Nidal Hassan, who murdered at Ft. Hood? The fact that he was shouting “Allahu Akhbar” on his rampage is more relevant than his operating alone. Our “government” i.e., Mr. Obama himself, was quick to say, “Now, now let’s not jump to conclusions” when referring to the Ft. Hood massacre; yet this same “government” (President Obama) jumped all over Boston police when they arrested the black Harvard professor, not for the color of his skin but for being belligerent and resisting officers at the scene.
I have a question for peaceful, “moderate” Muslims who sit on their hands and refuse to confront out of control brethren who would hijack their religion for ill purposes. Are you not endorsing the violence and bloodshed with your silence? Jihadists are ready to DIE for their cause, which is to “evangelize” the world using whatever means necessary, including the tip of the sword. It’s time we treat this issue seriously again as we did on 9-12 when the images of burning and collapsing World Trade Towers, a burning Pentagon and a downed airliner in Shanksville, PA were fresh in our minds.
Back to the topic, since Franklin Graham is a Christian, anything he says is going to be hyper-scrutinized. The Bible says it clearly, “The cross of Christ is foolishness to those who are perishing” (1 Corinthians 1:18a). Our nation’s foundational truths include freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. Carry on, Mr. Graham!
I am the proud father of an Infantry soldier and am myself former Army having served in many units to include being a basic training Drill Instructor. I find your group to be nothing more than a hate group, disruption to our soldiers and trying to do nothing more than bust the moral of those men and women serving “God and Country”. To say that Franklin Graham should not speak at the pentagon is outragous. I will do everything in my power to let people know just what kind of organization that you reall are. Like so many organizations you falsify and twist things to meet your own financial and personal agenda. I am tired of the few attempting to rule the majority. Just as you are doing. Either support our troops or stay out of it totally. They don’t need a organization such as yours, nor do I believe that the majority of them want your kind of support.
Good deal! A “National Day of Prayer” is unconstitutional. It would be a worse situation to allow a bigot to lead a one-religion prayer. Keep your religions where they belong, in your own home.

Steve, get a clue. Those of us that choose to practice our religion should be free to do so. And if you don’t like it you can lock yourself away somewhere so that you aren’t offended. Those in the majority shouldn’t be denied their rights so that you won’t feel bad about yourself.
A “National Day of Prayer” is not unconstitutional. If you don’t want to observe, don’t. If don’t want to pray, don’t. Try reading the constitution and some of the original documents and wallbuilders.com is a great place to start. FYI – from our nation’s founding until 1815 over 1400 prayer proclamations were issued by either the state or federal government.

This organization (MRF)is just another ambulance chasers way to buy his new BMW or Porshe so he can impress his buddies at the golf course. The freedom that needs to be curtailed in the USA is the ability of these hacks to get a law degree in the first place. Franklin Graham speaks the truth. Mr. Weinstein has no real knowledge of Islam. Ask him if he would like his family, especially the women in his family to live under Sharia. He will not provide a straight answer.

Mr Weinstein, shame on you and all that you claim to represent, because you do not represent this country or the majority of people in this country to give into subtle threats from a group of Muslims, and deny not only a man of God but a citizen of this country the right of freedom speech, is a travesty of the highest order.
Personally I don’t care if Graham was invited or not. But why his invite was rescinded is appalling and typical of the double standard that permeates our country today. To be white, to be Christian, to stand up for the aforementioned is to be a racist and a bigot. To be an in your face Muslim, Sikh, or Hindu who proudly non-assimilates and wears their native country dress 24/7 and criticizes white Christian America is perfectly acceptable.

Its ok for Muslims to wear burkas, veils and other Muslim clothing and use my local public park for their prayer services, but no one else can. I guess everyone has forgotten who brought us 9/11. I appreciate the fine work of MRFF. I am a Christian, and I abide by Jesus’ admonition to pray in private and not in public putting on a show for others. I also believe in letting God do His job since he said that He would separate the wheat from the chaff. I do not endorse politicians or other luminaries who seek to hijack Christianity for their own purposes. I notice there are many “c”hristians posting here who follow some of the teachings of Jesus, but not others. The Bible warns Christians of following false prophets, and states further that some who say, “Lord, Lord,” are not known to Him. Christians are also not to become a part of the world as far as following every Tom, Dick, and/or Harry/iet who professes to be a Christian in words when none of their actions back up their words. The Apostle Paul tells Christians to do good, live in peace, and help others. Many of the prominent “c”hristians have a habit of lying constantly to their followers/supporters, yet they continue to follow them and hang onto their every word. Jesus didn’t tell lies about everyone and everything for personal or political gain, and He did not use lies to influence people to follow Him. The Bible warns Christians about the danger of losing their souls by following people like these. These types of people may consign their souls to hell following them, but I refuse to do so. Jesus’ message was based on truth, not on lies, hypocrisy, and making as much money as one could get from gullible individuals. If these people were really Christians following in the footsteps of Jesus, there would be no need for them to get paid for spreading God’s message. The opportunity to spread the message would be the only reward they would expect because God would take care of the rest of their needs. Keep up the good work, MRFF! This is an organization that pretends to protect Constitutional rights such as freedom of religion and free speech. Not exactly. This only applies to the free speech of Mikey weinstein, not anybody who disagrees with him or his fraudulent organization. He tramples on the free speech of others without shame. This organization is to religious freedom what CAIR is to civil rights. It is nothing more than a front.

I think the silent majority is not so silent anymore. My tax dollars are supporting fools who think killing an “infidel” gets them points with allah (whoever/whatever he is). 85% of this country professes belief in Christianity. I am a both a veteran and an atheist, but I find organizations like MRFF to be disgusting and traitorous. We are in a war that was not declared by us but by our enemies. The same enemies you help with these spurious attempts to infringe on the constitutional rights of Christians to practice their faith. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. There is nothing in the constitution about separation of church and state, only that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Just get over yourselves and stop assisting those that would destroy this nation and everything it’s stood for since its inception. You should read a little history about Islam and its beginnings then maybe you will realize that they are not the most peaceful religion on the planet.
As the son of a former Air Force mechanic, and as the friend of a few soldiers, it breaks my heart to see your group trying to keep Christianity out of our Armed Forces. Only by the grace of God Almighty has this country gotten to where it is. Millions of Christians pray for our troops every day. Why don’t you ask the troops if they want to be prayed for? What gives you the authority to take the measures you have taken to silence Christians? Maybe if you would read the Bible with an open mind and open heart you would change your attitude. God loves you. He sent His only Son to die for you. And this is how you repay Him?

Why are you afraid of Franklin Graham? He has a right to his opinion, just like you. Our country is in a war with terrorists, which seems to be Islam and seems to be Muslims.
