These are military personnel. Instruments of war. You were in the military. I was in the military. And, barring the fact they wouldn’t have been there but for the sheer stupidity of the man-child you put in the White House, if there’s any compassion to be found, don’t you think it lies with the MAGA base that put him in power? That chose this war? That killed those troops?
It’s on Trump supporters to show compassion and make corrections for their blunders, not mine to demonstrate compassion for MAGA actions that got people killed. YOU killed those troops! I have pity that they died for you, for no reason. I’m saddened that this country treats the military as consumables.
But you get no compassion from me for your unforced errors in judgement that have consequences.

All those that have died in ICE custody? Immigrant children separated from their parents?

I have compassion for innocents. Military personnel are not innocents. Going to war is part of their job as it was mine when I deployed six times, both wars. Could I have been killed? Could you have been killed? Yes. On both counts. But you go because that’s your job. I have pity on them for being a military member at a time when the sanity train has left the station and military commanders are running around telling troops that this is God’s war.
You don’t know what the people that make up the MRFF think regarding war time deaths. Stop assuming you do. And stop speaking for them.
Trump’s answer regarding the deaths, “that’s what happens in war. And there are going to be more!” He’s already tired of meeting US war dead at Dover, relegating it to Vance.

Old Soldier, I’m curious about two things. First, what part of MRFF’s mission deals with showing compassion for those who’ve died in this conflict? MRFF’s mission is centered on protecting the religious freedoms of ALL service members, their families, and the civilians who serve alongside them.
My second question is: what are YOU doing to show compassion to the families, friends, and co-workers of those who’ve died serving America in this conflict?
As for me, I continue communicating with my Congressional delegation, asking them to stop this illegal war. And now that I think of it, I’ll ask them to ensure that their families get full compensation for the sacrifices they’ve made on America’s behalf. I’ll also ask that Congress ensures that the service members receive the full military honors to which they’re entitled — REGARDLESS of their religion!

I am beyond heartbroken our military service critters are dying because some rich guy got his outy bits in a bind and needs a distraction. I am livid that same rich guy wore campaign merch in the form of a ball cap to the Dignified Transfer of Remains ceremony and refused to remove said cap. So imagine the level of disgust I feel when I learned this same rich man is now fundraising of a picture of him being all disrespectful with the casket of our honored remains in the foreground.
