    It is spiritual rape when one’s beliefs are forced down the throat of another. As one who was nearly court-martialled for refusing an order to attend a specific chapel Sabbath service and saved only by knowledge of Army Regulations and Article VI of the US Constitution, which states “No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification for an office or Public Trust under the United States,” I can personally testify to the lengths commanders and unscrupulous chaplains will go to proselytize. It is offensive, it is disrespectful and it is unlawful. Thank God for Mr. Weinstein and MRFF. I wish the organization existed when I was assigned to the 124th MI Battalion, Fort Stewart, GA in January 1986.

    I love finding one of my ancestors mentioned in this context.

    Roger Williams was a tad unpopular with a number of his contemporaries. The same circles will hold his notions in contempt now as then.
