I just don’t get it. Why would you object to these beautiful wreaths at the holidays being put on graves? You just need some publicity or what?

Please be advised some families of deceased military veterans do not want a religious organization to which they do not belong or adhere profiting, promoting its religion version & marketing itself by presumptuously putting its religious wreaths on the graves of their deceased loved ones without permission. Those families consider it uninvited & unwanted intrusions on the personal burial site of their deceased family members.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (composed of 85% Christians) represents, when requested, the religious freedom rights of those families to object & prevent what they believe to be thoughtless trespasses on the graves of their deceased military veterans. We do so because we respect the wishes of those families & the religious group responsible for the religious wreaths does not. Religious freedom is a shield of protection & never a sword of privilege. For more complete information, please see militaryreligiousfreedom.org.
Most Sincerely,Brigadier General John Compere, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, US Army (Retired)Disabled American Veteran (Vietnam Era)Board Member, Military Religious Freedom Foundation

My husband is buried in Arlington. I ❤️ Wreaths Across America
I’m sorry for your loss Diane Alexander. I’m glad you receive meaning from Wreathes Across America; beyond happy that the two of you agree.
So, I’m asking what if?
Can you stretch your compassion Diane Alexander? Can you imagine someone you don’t like placing something on your late husbands grave without your permission?
Multiply that feeling and you understand why the MRFF was asked to help.
The Lord and Savior you profess to follow had a few sermons about compassion and loving one’s neighbor especially if you don’t like them.
Perhaps you should listen to him.
