Oh, fuck off you hatred souls. We had the same conversation with your trash about two years ago. I have more education than you can ever imagine.

We used to support the Jews. We don’t like the PLO and never have. But now we run into assholes like you and it only reinforces and begs the questions, why in the hell would we even want to support the greedy Jews and their arrogant actions?

You act as though you are the only educated people in the entire world. Fuck, no wonder people hate you.

I now unequivocally withdraw any support for any Jewish activities. You just burned your bridge pal.

Now I’m off to have some real fun why you slave away at your desk. 🤪🤣

    “Go get em Jew boy?”

Isn’t that what God said to his son?

Their Christian “savior” is a Jew and they hate Jews! Poor Christians. So confused!

Name Withheld obviously is too intent on expressing anti-Jewish bigotry to learn a bit about MRFF and the fact that the majority of its contributors, board, and clients are not Jews. Oh well.

For maximum effect and clarity, issues should always be boiled down to their simplest essence. In the case of this particular issue, that essence is this:

You have a constitutional right to worship and believe whatever you want to believe, and the power of government should be used to protect that right, BUT you have no constitutional, legal or moral right to impose your beliefs on others, and exposure to a sectarian expression, like the Jesus/lifeboat painting in a secular space funded by ALL taxpayers, is hijacking the power of government to advance YOUR beliefs at the expense of others’.

You can whine, play the victim and compose the most vulgar (and, frequently, incoherent, ungrammatical and misspelled) threats you want, but it will never and can never change the simple facts of the matter.

Last I heard, we are a government founded on Judeo-Christian belief. Our Constitution protects all religious belief, it doesn’t shield us from it and it doesn’t separate government from it. That is a modern day phenomenon and attorneys are particularly good at parsing the meaning of the Constitution to fit their own ideology or lack thereof. That is not intended as a personal attack, I work for attorneys. My question is if you would also rid the White House of all of it’s paintings because someone might be offended by the religious painter? I know your umbrella doesn’t reach that far, it is rhetorical. The painting in question was a gift from a veteran of a major war to honor those who died. Do we need to remove all the crosses at Arlington. I am a Christian but my faith doesn’t adhere to crosses, however, I have no problem with a cross being used to represent someone else’s faith or life and death as it has a broader meaning than just one faith. It doesn’t and shouldn’t offend me. What is happening here is a few are offended and have no problem with offending the many. This is divisive and it doesn’t need to be. How many people complained about that painting in all these decades since it was erected? I would really like to know. For the record: I do not hate Jews and I think some of the comments have no place here. Lastly, I am confused by the title of this organization. Where is the religious freedom, do you mean freedom from religion? Your title leads me to believe that you uphold religious freedom, not take it down (literally). Confused with questions……obviously!

Karen: the US government was not founded on Judeo-Christian religious beliefs. The founding legal document-the constitution- doesn’t even mention God. If you look up the constitutional convention debates, you’ll see that there were proposals to associate the government with religion (Christianity), but they were voted down by the delegates. The people who wrote the first amendment said they intended it to require the separation of religion and government. I think they can be trusted to have known why they wrote it the way they wrote it. It was based on Jefferson’s Statute for Religious Freedom that he wrote for the state of Virginia. In that statute, Jefferson made clear that the only way to preserve religious freedom is to keep government out of it. Jefferson and Madison have been proven right – there is not a single country in the world where religion is promoted by government and religious freedom is preserved for all. Not one. And there never will be.

Karen: a cross does not have a broader meaning than Christianity. Ask a Jew or Muslim if a cross represents their religious beliefs. You are not informed about why MRFF objected to the painting being displayed where it was. They didn’t object because they are offended by the symbols in the painting. They objected because the pictures and symbols extol Christianity in a room where formal ceremonies are held that are mandatory for midshipmen of all religious belief systems. The military regulations as well as the constitution are clear on this issue. It is a violation of both to have a huge painting prominently displayed during formal, mandatory ceremonies that extols one religion or all religion. The MRFF acted out of respect for all religious traditions of all the midshipmen and for the regulations and constitution. That’s also what our armed service members take an oath to protect.

    Karen,
Of course you don’t have an objection to a cross being used to represent someone else’s faith. You’re Christian! Jesus! Talk about hypocrisy! You don’t get the irony in your statement, obviously.

So, you wouldn’t mind a star and crescent or Star of David being displayed on your tombstone when the time comes?

Regarding Arlington, if a cross marks a Jewish grave, then it needs to be removed. Don’t be so silly! Although, facetiously, when Christ comes back, do you really think he wants to see another cross? “Hey Jesus, just a reminder, thinking of you Bro!”

Regarding the MRFF, yes, they support religious freedom. Just as our Constitution does. What they do not support is the forcing of a particular religion on members of the military. Wether you believe it or not, there is a wall of separation between church and State. There is no “State religion” in the United States, unlike, say, the United Kingdom as one example.
