MRFF Vehemently Condemns the Military’s Appalling Consideration of a Charlie Kirk Centered Recruiting Campaign — WITH NEW VIDEO FROM MIKEY WEINSTEIN

A Charlie Kirk-centered military recruiting campaign? That doesn’t sound like a good idea to this Air Force retiree! After all, Kirk himself never served in the armed forces. What kind of message would we be sending to potential recruits by using a deceased person who deftly avoided military service as the figurehead of the campaign?
Moreover, in addition to never serving in the armed forces, Kirk was on record disparaging women, LGBTQIA+ people, and anyone who isn’t a White Christian Nationalist. With more people in American society becoming “nones” and otherwise not fitting into the boxes Kirk designated for “real” Americans, why would anyone choose to serve if Charlie Kirk was the recruiting poster boy?
I enlisted in 1975. By the time I completed my first term, women had been accepted into Undergraduate Pilot Training. By the time I retired in 1997, women were flying fighters, the Warthog, and every other type of aircraft in the inventory. At least one of the Wings I’d served in had a woman as the “Wing King”. I’m proud that my branch of service had become more progressive over the course of my career. I don’t want to see my Air Force become regressive!
I have the utmost respect for Mr. Weinstein and the MRFF, their mission, successes, courage, perseverance, and tenacity.
We need a thousand more just like Mr. Weinstein.
I might differ a bit on the Hogsbreath/Trump recruiting effort for military service using Charlie Kirk as their poster boy.
As J.P. points out, using a fictionalized image of Kirk as military “warrior” to drive their promotion might be counter to their efforts. But, as Trump has proven, you can sell the fictionalized version to those with enlarged amygdalae, Hogsbreath the fictionalized poster boy for Christian manhood and warrior ethos. Get a few “Christian tattoos” and, viola, you’re a warrior. God himself, with head in hand, is wondering what the fuck he created!
Kind of like Hogbresth’s own pronouncements that the military will be strictly “merit based,” just like his own “appointment” as SUCDEF. Laughable.
But “Christianizing” the military, I would argue, is a good thing. All those fat pudgy white boys becoming “warriors?” Doing what I call Hegseth Wobbly Chin-ups. Now that’s funny!
The military today struggles in terms of combat effectivity imo. The last twenty years of war a testament to the incapability of the U.S. to meet a macro level objective, if their is one other than to support the military industrial complex.
Yes, we have an air game but it’s ineffective, viz a viz the recent attacks on Yemen and Iran. Trump the pussy boy having called for immediate cease fire in the aftermath. Accomplishments? None other than a few bone-spur photo ops, “we obliterated Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability!” Sure you did Donnie. You enhanced it when you blew up the JCPOA, showing the world what bone spurs can do to cognition.
So, I’d like to see the U.S. military “Christianized.” Let them Christian kids go fight Christian wars!
You see how tough them Christians are? Blowing up a couple of fishing boats in the middle of the ocean? “But they were narco-terrorists! We could tell by the MS13 written on their fishing poles!” You know, satellite technology. I’m sure there’ll be a campaign ribbon for that one!
Charlie Kirk as poster boy? Put him in NFT format, a beret on his head, face with war paint, a trident on his uniform. What’s not to love?
Show him right beside warrior Don. Yeah, that should do it.
Onward Christian soldiers. Get ready for action in Chicago! “We’re gonna fuck up some breakfast burritos!”
Only in the minds of MAGATs.
REMFs!
Don’t forget to pray before each office skirmish! Forget about pull-ups. We know you can’t do one.
Trumptie getting ready to re-invade Afghanistan. Says he wants Bagram air base back!
C’mon Christian’s. Get your little Johnny to join up! We’re gonna need some good Christian cannon fod, er, I mean, boots on the ground – bring your own body bag!
And, you’ll like this one, NO vaccine requirements for military personnel! So, all the Taliban has to do is pass around a little Covid and there goes your fighting force?
RFK cancelled $500 million in mRNA norovirus research. A promising trial underway to vaccinate against severe diarrhea – there you go soldiers! Highly contagious and passed by the Taliban, er, I mean, could be passed in Taliban feces.
Attacking Afghanistan again? Could be a real shitty outcome! But hey, I hear prayer works for any viral infection you might be exposed to while there. The problem is that the Muslims pray five times a day so, God hears them more? It is the same God, amirite?
But hey, vaccines are against your religion and against your personal freedom. Your body your choice! You shouldn’t be required to take a vaccination before you go off to war!
“And it’s one, two, three, what are we fighting for?
Don’t ask me I don’t give a damn,
Next stop Afghanistan.
And it’s five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates.
Ain’t got time to wonder why, whoopee we’re all gonna die!”
I love it. No more vaccines for MAGA! RFK and Trumptie thinning the MAGA herd! Progress of a kind!
Darwin was right! Homo Stupidimus decreasing their numbers, cultishly selecting themselves.
Gather in large MAGA crowds and keep wearing them red hats. Get memaw one too! Let’s the rest of us know who’s unvaccinated.
Dear Mr. Weinstein, Thanks so much and again for the valuable work you do or all of us. From Milwaukee Wisconsin where I am to all the way out in say California. The Establishment clause is no joke to those of us old enough to remember when Government worked and the principles in our constitution were worth dying for under arms in our countries armed services. Having had the opportunity to see your two plus minute little youtube clip I was struck not so much by some of the crummy things that Charlie Kirk said or did but that there folks at the highest levels of our government that want to put a person at the center of what we swear allegiance to instead of our dear old constitution. Our constitution is a worthy lodestone of principle that we have guided our conduct and government by for about 250 years. People come and go. Correct constitutional principles and a sure guarantee of freedom for ll of us regardless of our personal private views. I am just always reminded of this little bit in the Movie Bridge of Spies Where Tom Hanks playing a lawyer has to explain what the “Rule Book” represents to himself and the misguided cynical federal agent he meets on his way home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1Mav-tOp-8
Thanks again. You will remain in my personal private prayers and thoughts always. Sincerely Yours,
David Fulwiler
