Must-Read Mikey Weinstein Interview on “A Further Inquiry” — How MRFF is Navigating a Military and VA Ordered to Root Out Imaginary “Anti-Christian Bias”

“… We have never seen so many high-ranking military officials reaching out to us. These are not just 18- or 19-year-old enlisted troops or junior officers fresh out of the academies, ROTC, Officer Training School, or Officer Candidate School. That’s been flipped.
“Particularly in the VA, most of the people contacting us now are civilians, and many are seniors. That tells you something. So people need to take action—whether it is to leave a record of integrity for their children or their children’s children or simply to be able to look their neighbours in the eye and say, I tried to stop this. The difference between now and 1933? There was no social media back then. Now, we have the tools to resist publicly and collectively.
“You need to act—not just because it is the right thing to do—but because it is the only thing to do. And I’ll say it one more time: The quote goes: What we think, know, and believe is of little consequence. All that matters is what we do.”
— MRFF Founder and President Mikey Weinstein, excerpted from “A Further Inquiry” interview (emphasis added)

You’ve been on my mind Mikey. Thought about making this point privately but decided others might need to hear what I have to say too so here we are.
First, I hope you and yours are doing well. I know the past month or two has been very rough but I’m still here. As I say now (because I’m not dead yet was upsetting the dorm mates – no sense of history.. or Monty Python but here we are) I survived the night.
Second – Ugh, the talent drain in our military! The number of mishaps! The illegal bombings of civilians! I’m not sure how anyone in the military today can keep their morale together? This is the very definition of enemy domestic and yet… guess those who were charged with protection were the enemy all along.
And lastly, the work you do Mikey is so important. I’m not sure how many veterans know about you. I started on Instagram and follow several veteran groups and specific veterans themselves. They are organizing as if all that training they went through took.
The best part of all this? While hierarchy is important when performing specific tasks it isn’t the be all or end all. What do I mean? Well, everyone has the same goal – housing, healthcare, food, living wage. There are multitudes of humans and organizations working towards the same goal but there isn’t just one person overseeing it all. Each group has their leader guiding them but within they are broken into pods with their own leaders which changes if there is more than one leader per pod. It is organic and in my opinion, a path leading to best possible outcomes for all of humanity.
Back to the point – if you Mikey hadn’t been out here doing the work you do none of this progress would have been possible. You mobilized the individual, you didn’t claim the crown for yourself. In my eyes that makes you worthy of that crown, even knowing you wouldn’t accept it (maybe one day to ensure deserts were forthcoming on a specific day but otherwise? Yeah, not your style at all!)
I know, Mobius Strip o’ Logic but that is my superpower so there is that.
