Christian Bibles Removed Within 24 Hrs Due to MRFF’s Efforts from Easter Display at Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, Albuquerque, NM

MRFF-before-and-after
“Hats off to the senior leadership of Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Raymond G. Murphy VAMC, and to the intrepidity of MRFF’s ten clients who either work right there or, like me, are grateful patients there!
Senior leadership was good to their word, keeping in touch with me via several follow-up phone calls, the last of which confirmed that the display in the ‘Patriot Store’ facility with Christian Bibles and related Christian reading materials had been removed, not more than 24 hours after MRFF’s initial request!“

I am curious about a coupe of things: first on my mind is who authorized the order for religious paraphernalia and second is can the store get their money back?
If the stock can’t be returned then what happens next? We The People have to monitor the store to ensure they don’t (again) sneak in their religious propaganda? The manager or someone higher up gets The Talk?
Lots of questions. No answers for the moment. I’m sure it will all work out. 😂
Another moronic waste of time.
I would have told you to go fuck yourself if I was the VAMC, Mikey… you big baby looking motherfucker. Give just one example of when you roaches spent any energy on removing something related to Judaism.
To the above fact challenged commentator who said “Give just one example of when you roaches spent any energy on removing something related to Judaism.”….
Sigh. It’s an uphill battle, ain’t it? No matter the facts I present they will brush them off because I’m not their Voice of Authority. Any words I use, any evidence I produce sounds to them like I’m speaking Parseltounge.
That said, the reason Christian paraphernalia is removed so often is that is the only faith who regularly disobeys orders, regulations, and laws specifically created to keep public space secular.
Class, shall we go over the whole ‘even if Christianity is put in charge (never going to happen) which particular sect, flavor, or denomination gets to be the one holding the reins lecture? No?
Good. My coffee is calling my name. It says grey one, they aren’t worth the effort today. I’m going to listen.
Did you find an example while on top your soap box? 100 percent guarantee if that hospital had a section like that for Passover or Hannukah, you assholes would ignore it completely. I’d even double down that if someone filed a grievance with MRFF about such a scenario… you would decline to take the case.
We’ll probably never find out whether “if that hospital had a section like that for Passover or Hannukah, you assholes would ignore it completely.” That’s because, at least in this country, the ONLY religious groups who try to use the power of government to push THEIR religion on others are fundamentalist bible-thumper “Christians,”
Exactly Tom O, the only religious group who consistently violates the rules are Christian Nationalists. They refuse to honor their oath to place their duty to country and the Constitution first and the practice of their faith second.
The commentators above with the redonkulas names won’t acknowledge the validity of your words. After all, they are too invested in the myth that they and only they are the persecuted ones here in the USA.
How persecuted? Well, once I heard they had to (shudder) share space with (gulp) people of other faiths than their own. Truly, no one has suffered as they. (/S)
I don;t think the EASTER STORY is involved in any other religion. That is why it is so important. The only God that is alive today is the True God of Heaven. So, that is why the Christian things are important at this time especially. Just my thoughts.
Let me get this straight: You’re an organization for “Religious Freedom” and you express that by compelling (opposite of freedom) places like a VA hospital to remove religious items? Wouldn’t removing religious items be the opposite of religious freedom? Aren’t you instead imposing an anti-religious tyranny?
I’m just trying to wrap my head around how you could consider this to be “religious freedom.”
@Og Keep
You can’t use logic or reason with these people, they are too stupid and stubborn (liberal). It is truly an anti-christian organization masquerading as a religious freedom organization. It is truly despicable, but that is why nobody takes these guys seriously. MRFF is a complete joke. The only reason the organization is around is for Mikey to line his pockets with HALF of every dollar donated to MRFF, while the other cuckold board members jerk it to him ripping off these unsuspecting folks. Its too lucrative to stop for him, but too rediculous to gain any real support from any reputable entites. MRFFs big “accomplishments” ( considering all the money donated to the organization) are: 1. Having a bible removed from a table. 2. Having books about Easter removed from a VA hospital.
Yes you ready that correctly, these are “accomplisments”.
The rest of their time is spent annoying and offending the general public with their asinine philosophy and doltish antics. Think about the time the VA execs wasted talking to this idiot about removing Easter books from a gift shop. That time would have been better spent on maintaining and improving operations of the hospital… not placating some dipshit to avoid bogus litigation. MRFF are pond scum bottom feeders until the day the IRS audits them, and they dissapear. Probably the shittiest non-profit in existence.
Dont be fooled about their “mission”. If that VA gift shop had references specifically to Judaism or had a mezuzah above the entryway door, MRFF would be cumming their pants.
Wow. Not sure of anyone else but it appears to me that Mikey and the MRFF live rent free in MrffIsTrash’s head. How else to explain their pattern/habit of coming to this site to complain.
They said “Dont be fooled about their “mission”. If that VA gift shop had references specifically to Judaism or had a mezuzah above the entryway door, MRFF would be cumming their pants.”
That’s the second time in this post that MrffIsTrash accuses MRFF of religious favoritism without a shred of evidence. If the favoritism is as rampant as MrffIsTrash claims shouldn’t there be at least one example for them to use?
Provide the receipts MrffIsTrash before someone starts to think your outrage is nothing but hot air.
Too late.
The last 2 comments illustrate theocrats’ twisted concept of “religious freedom:” THEIR freedom to use the government to push THEIR religion at everyone.
Nancy Ellis,
If by “easter story”, you mean a story about a deity coming back from the dead, then you are not even close to being correct. Most religions have such a story. In fact, Jesus did not have it that bad for his resurrection. He only had a couple nails driven into his wrists, another though his feet, and a spear stuck in his side because he appeared to die so fast. (crucifixions usually take days for healthy victims before they suffocate from exhaustion.)
Osiris of Egyptian mythology was killed and cut up into a couple dozen pieces. His wife Isis had to find those pieces and reassemble them for Osiris to resurrect.
Odin of Norse mythology plucked out his own eye and sacrificed himself to himself, and hung himself for nine days to gain wisdom and knowledge.
Baldur, also of Norse mythology, was killed by a mistletoe dart and is prophecied to return after Ragnorok.
I could continue this list for a long time. Your Jesus is nothing special in dying and returning. That is a staple of nearly all mythologies all over the world, and many deities had a far rougher time getting back than your deity did.
