Additionally, MRFF adheres strongly to the principle that religious faith is a deeply personal matter, and that no American has the right to question another American’s beliefs as long as they do not unwontedly intrude on the public space or the privacy or safety of another individual?
Thomas Jefferson envisioned a country where it’s citizenry would (okay, could) openly discuss all subjects. I, as an American, have the right to question yours and any one’s religious beliefs anytime I wish. I questioning your agnostic logic right now and I want to let you know about it! The fact that it is highly personal to you matters not. You should be civil is all matters and in all that you hear. You have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and to all three I wish you good luck, but you have no right to tell me or any citizen or military personnel what to question.
It must feel good to stamp your events and words with the Jeffersonian seal, but I believe you know little about Thomas Jefferson what was dear to his heart and what his passions were.
Here are three quotes from Thomas Jefferson:
“Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.”
“Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear.”
“For a people who are free, and who mean to remain so, a well-organized and armed militia is their best security. ”
Do you really agree with Thomas Jefferson or have you made also him into a “living, breathing” and evolving thing?
To speak what we believe to be so IS religion and you are free to discuss it with me or opt out.
